On a breezy Thursday morning last 16th March 2021, Naaz Premier HQ team heads to the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia, Penang for a company trip. We packed our bags and excitement together for our 2023 trip. We gathered as early as 7 in the morning at our headquarter in Sungai Buloh while waiting for our bus to accommodate us to the infamous island.
Our first stop of course was the Penang Esplanade (Padang Kota Lama) which is located on the north-eastern tip of Georgetown. Tourists would come here in the late afternoon and evening to enjoy the sea breeze, have a drink and some delicious food at the seafront food court.
Penang is famous for its appetizing food, Nasi Kandar. There is an overflow of options to choose from and every food store has its own “wow” factor. Besides knowing the story of Penang, the other main purpose of the trip was to eat. So we divided a few groups among us. Some of us went to Restoran Hameediyah, some others went to the infamous Restoran Line Clear. Walking under the hot sun, we just could not resist the temptation to taste the sweet and icy Ais Tingkap to quench our thirst.
We kicked off our Thursday night with a movie time treated by the Top Management. We watched the thrilling movie “Shazam 2”. We had a lot of fun as the movie was very entertaining with a lot of actions and suspense. We decided to call a night off early right after the movie as we were preparing ourselves for a long day at ESCAPE later.
The next morning, we had our light breakfast at an old school coffee shop, our favorite, kopitiams, roti bakar and half-boiled eggs. Only then we checked ourselves out early and hopped on our bus to Escape Penang. The route was pretty bumpy,swerved up to the hill but we were beyond excited to be bothered by all that. Upon arriving, we were led by their respresentitive and managed to take a picture together as memories. Their dedicated team prioritized our safety, providing us with necessary safety gear and thorough briefing before each activity. The friendly and professional staff members ensured our trip was not only adventurous but also worry free.
As our group entered the park, a sense of camaraderie and anticipation filled the air. The sprawling grounds were divided into different zones, offering a wide range of adventure activities suitable for all skill levels. We participated in challenging rope courses, obstacle challenges and problem-solving games that required effective communication and cooperation. These activities not only encouraged us to step out of our comfort zones but also strengthened the bones among team members.
Escape’s GravityPlay attractions were a major highlight for our group. From ziplining through the treetop to heart-pumping freefall experiences, we embarked on a thrilling journey of defying gravity. The stunning views of the surrounding forest from these heights added an extra dose of thrill. Soon after we moved to the Waterplay zone which provided a refreshing break from the adrenaline-fuelled activities. We cooled off in the tropical heat, enjoying thrilling water slides and water-based obstacle courses. The Banana Flip, Speed Racer, and Splash Bash brought our competitive spirit and laughter echoed throughout the zone.

We were energy-drained in the evening and decided to change our attires to dry ones. We gathered back to the bus with fulfilling hearts after all the fun activities that we had. Our company trip to Penang was an incredible blend of cultural immersion and gastronomic delights. We created lasting memories as we cheered each other on, overcame challenges and celebrated our triumphs together.
